Over several years, Klassika Foundation has been developing the idea of making June 12 of each year the "Russian Day in the World", with concerts held by the symbols of Russian culture—representatives of Russian performing arts—in the capitals of different countries at the leading concert venues of the planet. The concept of the project "Russian Day in the World" is an unprecedented opportunity for the viewers from all over the world to travel to different parts of the globe to the most prestigious stages of the world within 24 hours in order to invariably enjoy the best samples of Russian culture.
On June 12 the unique cultural one-day-project “Russian Day in the World” was held for the third time. The best Russian orchestras and choirs performed the most famous musical masterpieces in the most prestigious stages of Switzerland, Israel and Germany.
At the best world stages on the Day of Russia our country was represented by eminent musicians: Denis Matsuev, Yuri Laptev, Mikhail Gantvarg, and also renowned collectives: The Sveshnikov Russian State Academic Choir, The Chamber Ensemble «Soloists of St. Petersburg». For the first time, the State Orchestra of Tatarstan took part in the project under the tutelage of Alexander Sladkovsky.

In 2016 six countries with more than 600 artists and about 11.000 spectators took part in the celebrations for "Russian Day in the World". The St. Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra performed in the Forbidden City Music Hall in Beijing. The St. Petersburg Court Chapel will sing at the Minsk Palace of the Republic. The Boris Eifman ballet will dance at the Royal Burgtheater in Vienna; then in Tel Aviv, at the Center for the Performing Arts, the audience will enjoy a programme by the St. Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra. Shortly after in Paris, the audience at the theater of the Champs Elysées will celebrate with the Ural Philharmonic orchestra and Denis Matsuev; and the musical marathon will draw to a close at the Barbican Hall in London, with the first performance in the capital by the Sveshnikov State Academic Russian Choir.

On June 12, 2015 for the first time the project "Russian Day in the World" started in five countries. Five of Russia’s most famous ensembles performed in prominent venues of Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the America. In five countries on four continents, 550 artists, 10,000 spectators and millions of TV viewers was able to participate in the celebrations of the first "Russian Day in the World".
